Protecting Children´s Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights by Future Professionals in Finland and South Africa (SexEd)

The outcomes of the program are that the future professionals:
- Are equipped to help adolescents in preventing sexual abuse, unwanted pregnancies and protect the young people’s fertility for a later time when they want to start a healthy family
- Develop efficacy and willingness to bring up and educate youth in sexual and reproductive health issues
- Create material, tools, and skills in how to concretely execute sexual education as a future professional

The activities take place both remotely online (2 online training days) and onsite in Finland and in South Africa (2 onsite training weeks) and include independent studies and team meetings as well.

Goal

The main aim of this program is to strengthen young people's ability to assess, strengthen and protect their own sexual and reproductive health (SRHR) based on correct information in South Africa and Finland.
