Funded by the European Union
Tampere University of Applied Sciences
Duration of project3.11.2025–2.11.2027

Background

PATHS (Practical Access to Transdisciplinary Hubs for Students) is an Erasmus+ cooperation project coordinated by Kauno Kolegija that aims to strengthen student engagement in applied research, development and innovation (RDI) during their studies. The project brings together Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) and partner universities from Germany and the Netherlands within the UNINOVIS European University Alliance.

Goal

The main goal of PATHS is to develop and test a practical and scalable model – the RDI Pathway – that enables students to participate systematically in applied research and real world innovation projects. Within the project the model is piloted through staff training and international blended intensive programmes.

Impact

PATHS enhances students’ research competences, strengthens collaboration between higher education, industry and society, and supports TAMK’s strategic focus on applied RDI and international cooperation. In the long term, the project contributes to improved employability, stronger regional innovation ecosystems and a more practice oriented European higher education.
