As the national Service Provider of the Consortium of Social Science Data Archives, CESSDA, the Finnish Social Science Data Archive has a continuous presence in many of its projects and working groups. In addition, FSD staff have recurring administrative tasks and memberships in CESSDA.
Goal
FSD takes part in the development of services for researchers throughout Europe by actively participating in the activities of CESSDA.
The CESSDA Trust and Landscape Working Group monitors the changing (research)data landscape that comprises matters such as FAIR & EOSC. The WG also contributes to the promotion of the CoreTrustSeal certification as a quality stamp, supports the Service Providers in their path to certification, and works on the CESSDA Key Performance Indicators. FSD leads the Working Group.
FSD operates as the Service Maintainer for the CESSDA Data Catalogue.
The aim of CESSDA's Key Topic Working Groups is to foster collaboration and coordination among CESSDA Service Providers on topics that address specific or new problems or technological developments. FSD participates in the Data Citation WG, which focuses on drafting data citation recommendations for repositories and other relevant stakeholders.
