Designing of Circular Economy in Refurbishment Projects

To develop the design process in refurbishment projects to better meet the requirements of circular economy.

The purpose of this project is to develop procedures for circular economy for design process of refurbishment projects. Currently there exists various reseach projects concerning which building parts can be disassempled and recycled, but there exists a gap of knowledge how to advance the "economy" aspect. This development project advances the creation of functional market for circular economy services for refurbishment projects. The project is divided into three stages: interviews to map the the current market of circular economy services for refurbishment projects, co-creation workshops to create new innovative services and  developing procurement procedures and creating roadmap to proliferate the new services and practices.
