About me

I work as a University Lecturer in Business Law at the Faculty of Management and Business at Tampere University. My teaching focuses particularly on labour law and contract law.

In 2020, I earned my Doctor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration (Business Law), with a dissertation on occupational safety law. The topic of my dissertation was the employer’s occupational safety responsibility. My research interests are primarily centered on labour law, especially on occupational safety and health legislation. The themes of my research include occupational safety regulation and its nature, obligations related to workplace safety and health, various risk and hazard factors in the work environment, especially the risk of online harassment at work, as well as work-related burnout and proactive occupational safety measures. In my research, I approach these topics mainly through doctrinal legal research methods.

My current research projects include the interdisciplinary research project “Burnout and Work Ability from the Perspective of Labour Law”, conducted jointly by the University of Helsinki and Tampere University and funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund.

In addition, I am involved in editing interdisciplinary and multi-method books on auditing, accounting and artificial intelligence, as well as strategic board governance.
