Research and development at TAMK

RDI theme areas
We do research and development work in eight different thematic areas linked to green and just transition in society.

Applied research infrastructure
Laboratories and Living Labs can be utilised for research, testing and development.

Projects
In our working life-oriented projects, we apply research to the genuine development needs of the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Our experts
Proactive RDI activities require people, multidisciplinary expertise and enthusiasm. Our projects include experts from our Applied Research Center and the Project Management Office, as well as TAMK experts from different schools.
Become our RDI partner
Get involved in our RDI activities! The problems faced by companies, communities and the public sector are often those for which no ready solution can be found in the available supply. Our research and development projects are well suited for finding new solutions.
Publications
RDI results are presented in TAMK's publication series. See our project reports and other RDI publications.
Open science and research
Open science and research cover the openness of the operating culture, publishing, research data and learning.
What is RDI?
Our RDI activities solve problems, create new possibilities and foresee future needs. We research, experiment, test and evaluate together with higher education institutions, companies, communities and the public sector. We promote a more sustainable and just world in a range of fields from health, business and technology to learning, creativity and social involvement.
RDI activities create new possibilities, innovative ideas, concepts, business solutions, products, services and processes nationally and internationally. We help SMEs in commercialising their ideas. It is also important for us to promote the establishment of new spin-off companies.
