A 2-hour online pre-arrival information session is organised for all new exchange students joining us for the spring semester 2026. The invitation, including the session link, will be sent by email to all admitted students in November 2025. After the session, both the presentation slides and a recording will be shared via email.
During the session, we’ll cover a wide range of essential topics to help you prepare for your studies and life in Tampere. These include:
- Understanding our campuses and higher education community
- Planning your studies and preparing for final course registrations
- Your next steps and key things to know before arrival
- Identification and registration with the university
- Activating and using your TUNI account
- Important deadlines to keep in mind
- International student tutoring and how it supports you
- Student Union membership and how to get your student card
- Erasmus+ certificates, confirmations, and other required forms
- Using our mobile app to connect with other students before arrival
- Living with TOAS – what to expect
- Greetings from INTO and ESN FINT, including their services, events, and trips
We’ll also answer some of the questions you’ve sent us in advance, and there will be time for live Q&A at the end of the session.
