Library’s open access services and open access costs in summer 2023

You can submit applications for open access support funding throughout the summer, and the Library will process applications within 1 to 4 business days.

The Library's open access publishing services will operate normally during the summer period. You can contact the OA specialists using the oa [at] tuni.fi (service address).

Open access publishing costs

The Library will pay the open access publishing costs of peer-reviewed publications in 2023, once the criteria for OA funding are met:

The corresponding author of the publication has an affiliation with Tampere University or Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
The corresponding author of the publication has an employment contract or an extended resource agreement with Tampere University or Tampere University of Applied Sciences or the corresponding author is working on a doctoral thesis at the University.
The publication channel is rated on level 1, 2, or 3 in the Publication Forum.
The publication channel uses Creative Commons licenses.

If the publication is related to a project of the Research Council of Finland (formerly Academy of Finland) or Horizon Europe, the conditions set by the research funder must also be met.
