The Finnish Demolition Atlas (www.purkukartta.fi), launched in March 2025, showcases the extent of demolition in Finland. By visualising demolition on an interactive map, the atlas raises awareness of the take–make–waste mindset in the built environment.
Inspired by the Demolition Atlas, the seminar series invites students, teachers, and research staff to engage critically with demolition from environmental, societal, and cultural perspectives. Each event, organised in collaboration with the architecture faculties in Finland, features guest speakers, short presentations, and an open discussion with the audience. Alongside the discussions, participants will be introduced to the Demolition Atlas. Refreshments will be served in a relaxed setting.
