GAISE 2025 – the 1st Summer School on Generative AI in Software Engineering
The Generative AI in Software Engineering (GAISE) summer school is a 3-day intensive learning experience taking place from 16 to 18 June 2025 at Crazy Town, Tampere. It is designed for Master’s students, PhD researchers, and early-career professionals who are interested in the intersection of Generative AI and Software Engineering.
Participants will gain a mix of theoretical understanding and practical skills through expert-led lectures, hands-on labs, and collaborative workshops. Topics covered will include the foundations of large language models, prompt engineering, agent-based architectures, and software development tools powered by Generative AI. The program will also explore key considerations around ethics, evaluation, and responsible deployment.
The summer school emphasizes active learning, interdisciplinary teamwork, and building real-world prototypes using tools like GPT-4, Figma, V0, Cursor, and Render. In addition, there will be opportunities for networking, mentoring, and peer feedback.
