
MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships at Tampere University
Who can apply
- You must have defended your PhD degree by the call deadline (9.9.2026).
- You must not have more than 8 years of experience in research, from the date of your PhD defence.
- You must not have resided or carried your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Finland for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline (9.9.2026).
- You must have a confirmed supervisor at TAU who will support your application.
What is covered
MSCA PF grant covers 1-2 years' salary, mobility (and family) allowance for the postdoc and research costs and overheads for the host institution.

How to apply

Send letter of intent
Send a letter of intent to the potential supervisor (see below for further info about finding a supervisor at TAU). Add “MSCA-PF” to the subject of your email. The letter must contain
- max one-page description of your project idea,
- max two-page CV,
- your PhD defence date and a confirmation that you meet the above listed mobility eligibility criteria.
You can also contact the hosting PI and ask for more information before sending the letter of intent.
Deadline for indicating interest and sending the requested material is 27.4.2026.

Join Masterclass
If there is a match between you and the intended host you will be eligible to join our online Masterclass that supports you in preparing of a competitive proposal. To join the masterclass please email preaward [at] tuni.fi with the subject heading “MSCA-PF masterclass’. The email should include the name of your confirmed supervisor, faculty, and all necessary eligibility info (PhD defence date and confirmation that you meet the mobility eligibility).
Masterclass takes place in May-June via Teams. You will be added to our Teams platform where you can find all necessary info and materials for the masterclass.

Submit proposal
After the Masterclass, you will submit a proposal for funding in liaison with your supervisor and our University. Application submission deadline to EU is 9.9.2026.
