Jyrki Mäkelä

I am a physicist, a researcher of aerosol science and a physics professor. I have carried out research on atmospheric aerosol phenomena, mainly experimental work, at University of Helsinki for ca. 20 years, and experimental research on generating functional nanomaterials at Tampere University (formerly Tampere University of Technology) for another 20+ years, of which I also served 10 years as a Department/Unit Head for Physics.

Additionally, I have given lecture courses on Aerosol Physics, Thermal Physics, Transport Phenomena and Structure of Matter, as well as on general university physics topics.
