Our degree programme in Media and Arts provides you with up-to-date competences in the growing, international and constantly changing cultural sector. You will learn how to use emerging media tools and different working methods in a customer-friendly way. Opportunities for practical training and exchange studies abroad will offer you exceptionally good prospects for an international career. The programme is located on the Mediapolis Campus, which is home to several companies, including the Finnish Broadcasting Company, YLE.
During the first year, you will follow one of the specialisations: Interactive Media, Music and Event Production, or Fine Art Lab. Besides following your main study path, you can construct your personal curriculum from several subdivided study modules, such as games design, sound design or fine art photography.
As a graduate, you will have the skills needed in the international media and arts sector. The industry offers a variety of job opportunities as an expert, developer and entrepreneur in, for example, game companies, music and live event production, new media production, service design and art galleries.

Student selection is based on a pre-task assignment submitted together with your application and an online interview with the academic staff for top candidates.
Important dates:
- 26 November 2026 - pre-task instructions are published on the pre-task instructions page
- 21 January 2027- submit your application and the pre-task with a passport copy
- 2 March 2027 - online interview invitations are sent
- 9 - 11 March 2027 - online interviews will take place
6 July 2027 - student selection results are published by the latest
