NuoriSO- Towards research-based inclusion in social work for young adults 

NuoriSO- research project  provides information on social work for young adults from the perspective of promoting inclusion. The project will investigate how social work services for young adults are organised in municipalities and welfare regions and how inclusion is promoted.
A key focus of the research is how services and working practices in social work respond to the service needs of young adults and promote their inclusion.

Goal

  • What is the current state of the social work services for young adults and what are the objectives on which the services are based

  • What are the conditions for promoting the inclusion of young people?  What is the role of digital services in service delivery?

  • How is inclusion promoted in social work from the perspective of young adults? How do young adults who are clients of services perceive services as meeting their needs and being relevant to their everyday lives?

  • How is the inclusion of young adults promoted in social work from the perspective of social workers?

  • What kind of interaction practices strengthen and what kind of practices hinder the construction of inclusion of young clients in social work encounters between social workers and clients?
