Noodi – a hub for experimental research

Noodi is a new hub for experimental research at Tampere University, providing a state-of-the-art environment for research that combines world-class expertise in technology, medicine and information technology. 

Located on the Hervanta campus, the centre brings together cutting-edge research facilities, modern learning environments and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Noodi represents one of the most significant recent investments in research and education infrastructure in Finland. It constitutes a total investment of more than €100 million, including both the building and the research equipment housed within the premises. Research conducted at Noodi will strengthen Finland’s capacity to address technological and societal challenges. 

The foundation stone for Noodi was laid on 3 March 2025, with construction scheduled for completion in 2026.
