You can enrol in route studies if you hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
The studies consist of the first semester or first-year studies of the degree programme (30-60 credits).
You will study full-time together with the degree programme´s student group. ten (10) study places are reserved for Open UAS Route students. Route studies conducted in English require good written and spoken English language skills. Enrolment
The enrolment starts on 29 July at 9.00 am and ends on 30 July at 11.59 pm. If study places remain available after the enrolment period, the period may be extended. Study places are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, and registration takes place in our online store.
Study fee
The fee for the Open Route Studies is 300 euros and must be paid at the time of enrolment.
The fee for the first year is the same for all students. However, if you apply for aand are admitted as a degree student and you are not an EU/EEA citizen, standard tuition fee will apply.
Please note that Open UAS studies do not provide grounds for obtaining a visa to Finland.

Degree application and student selection
You can apply for admission to the degree programme based on your Open UAS studies. If you start the route studies in autumn 2026, you can apply a degree student status already early October through the “Open UAS Route” application in studyinfo.fi.
The required number of completed credits for the application is 15 ECTS. If you are unable to complete the required credits by December 31, you may continue your studies as an Open UAS student and apply again in early May 2027 through studyinfo.fi
Student selection is made considering your completed amount of credit points and study success. Study success means the GPA of the studies completed during your Open UAS Route Studies. If necessary, students are placed in order by their GPA (highest to lowest).
Please note that when applying for the Master’s degree programme (YAMK), you must also meet the eligibility requirements regarding prior higher education studies and work experience.

Open UAS students are not eligible for Kela student financial aid or other student benefits.
