Immersive audio in immersive videos, games, XR -software and audio installations. Introduction to ambisonics and binaural sound are incorporated. Middleware software for sound assets and implementation will be introduced.

The immersive sound design course introduces immersive audio in immersive videos, games, XR -software and audio installations. The student is able to: Define what is immersive sound. Identify ambisonics, binaural sound and 3D audio codecs. Use middleware between DAW and the game engine. Develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills for designing sound in an immersive context
