Data Expertise and Artificial Intelligence is a professional mid-career Master’s degree and requires 2 years (24 months) of documented working experience after Bachelor’s.
Digitalisation is rapidly reshaping society and organisations, driving the demand for new competencies in the workforce. To thrive in this evolving landscape, professionals across industries need to enhance their data skills, recognise AI opportunities, and navigate ethical considerations.
Our Master's degree in Data Expertise and Artificial Intelligence prepares you to excel in specialist and development roles where data and AI are central, or where these technologies will drive future innovation.
Throughout the program, you'll learn to identify data needs and explore data utilization opportunities within your field. You'll develop skills in data analysis and visualisation, while gaining hands-on experience with AI methods and applications. No prior ICT knowledge is required to embark on this journey.
Applicants with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration as well as other suitable Bachelor’s degrees can apply to the programme. The Bologna educational structure has the Bachelor’s degrees at either 240 or 210 ECTS credits which brings the Master's to either 60 ECTS (MEng) or 90 ECTS credits (MBA).

Student selection is based on a pre-task assignment submitted together with your application and an online interview with the academic staff for top candidates.
Applicants who have completed their Bachelor´s degree outside of Finland must provide an English language proficiency certificate (see exceptions below). Applicants who do not have to provide the English language proficiency certificate:
- Applicants who have completed higher education degree in Australia, Canada, the European Union or EEA, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom, or the United States
