Financial matters when studying at TAMK
Tuition fees apply to non-EU/EEA citizens studying in Bachelor's or Master's degree programmes offered in English at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. For more details, see TAMK Student's Guide.
TAMK tuition fees
Bachelor's degrees: 9 800 € per academic year
Master's degrees: 10 800 € per academic year
Payment deadline for new students is the last day to accept/decline the study place offer. Early Bird scholarship waivers for Bachelor's students are automatically issued to students based on the date of their Conditional Offer letter. Early Bird scholarship discount (-1500 €) for Master's degree students requires full annual payment by 31 May.
Payment deadlines for continuing students are by 31 May (1st installment) and 31 August (2nd installment). Exceptions e.g. for transfer students or double degree students are given to accepted students in student selection letters (conditional offer letter).
Payment is only possible through the given payment portal. Payment options are through MobilePay, Finnish online banking or international debit/credit cards. Other options (international bank transfers or invoices) cannot be considered due to security reasons, as non-referenced payments and larger monetary inflows are strictly monitored by the Finnish banks.
TAMK offers scholarship options for all students who are subject to tuition fees. The TAMK system is cohort-based, giving each new student the ability to predict and influence their own costs throughout their studies. Any changes made to the system will only be applied to previously enrolled cohorts, if it is beneficial to the students in question.
All scholarships are awarded as waivers or discounts from payable amounts. No need to wait for reibursement afterwards. Scholarship waivers are awarded based on study success or pre-payment of full annual amount (Master's degrees)

Financing your stay
Costs of living
All students have to pay for their accomodation and living expenses themselves. It is important to make arrangements for adequate funding for the entire period of your studies before leaving your home country.
Working while studying
Working part-time while studying might be an option to finance your studies. In addition to some useful extra cash, having a part-time job can be a good way of gaining valuable work experience and networks alongside your studies.
Study and stay
Study & stay is a programme of activities and services for international degree students. The aim of Study & Stay is to support international students to study, live and work -or start a business- in the Tampere Area. Study & Stay was developed by the Tampere Universities Career Services in collaboration with the City of Tampere and as part of the International Tampere Hub project and the national Talent Boost programme.
