The project aims at developing multidisciplinary education to increase the role of circular economy in education and RDI work.

Goal

Circular Economy Excellence in Finnish UAS project is a multidisciplinary educational development project to increase the role of circular economy in education and in RDI work. The project connects 19 Finnish universities of applied sciences to design, plan and pilot high-quality, open and internationally oriented education on circular economy by Industry 4.0 thinking and operational models.

In the project, the partners will develop and pilot study contents, learning methods and learning environments related to the different focus areas of the Finnish road map in circular economy. The aim is to bring the good practices achieved in the project into educational and the RDI activities and to integrate the circular economy perspective into the curriculum work. In this project, TAMK's main focus areas are forest and bio-based and technical loops.

The Circular Economy Excellence in Finnish UAS project is a top project funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland. The project runs in 2018 – 2020 and is coordinated by Lapland University of Applied Sciences. Other partners include Arcada UAS, Centria UAS, Haaga-Helia UAS, Häme UAS, Jyväskylä UAS, Kajaani UAS, Karelia UAS, Lahti UAS, Laurea UAS, Metropolia UAS, Novia UAS, Oulu UAS, Savonia UAS, Seinäjoki UAS, South-Eastern Finland UAS, Tampere UAS, Turku UAS and Vaasa UAS.
