Fatemeh Abedi
About me
I am a researcher specialising in circular economy, sustainable business models, life cycle assessment (LCA), and sustainability-driven innovation, with an interdisciplinary academic background in business, technology management, and environmental engineering. I hold a PhD in Business and Technology Management from Tampere University, Finland, and an MSc in Circular Economy (Environmental Engineering) from LUT University, Finland.
My research focuses on advancing sustainable and circular business practices by integrating environmental assessment, circular design strategies, and digital technologies into business model development and strategic decision-making. My expertise includes comparative LCA, end-of-life scenario analysis, circular business model development and archetyping, eco-design strategies, and digital product traceability.
Through my involvement in EU-funded research and innovation projects, I have gained extensive experience in interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and industry-oriented sustainability initiatives. My work aims to bridge environmental sustainability, technological innovation, and business strategy to support circular economy transitions and long-term sustainable value creation across industries.
