About me

I am an Associate Professor in applied mathematics and I have a background in electrical engineering. My current research concentrates on 3D structure modelling of trees and forests from laser scanner data, uncertainty quantification of such modelling, and their applications in forest and ecological research. I am also one of the Principal Investigators in Academy of Finland’s Centre of Excellence in Modelling and Imaging 2018-2025.
