Application timetable for study programmes and trainings can be found on the course description pages. Please note that some upcoming application periods might not be available on the website yet but will be updated later. Preparatory programme for higher education
Do you want to apply in the future to study at a university in Finland? In a preparatory programme, you will develop your Finnish language skills, your study skills, and gain information about different educational options. Plese note that your Finnish has to be on level B1 to be able to get admitted to the programme.

Completing the preparatory programme will benefit you when applying to become a degree student. In joint application, some study places are reserved for those who have completed this programme.

If your language skills are not yet sufficient for the preparatory programme, you can participate in the three-month NONI! intensive training. You can inquire about study places by email at noni [at] tuni.fi (noni[at]tuni[dot]fi).

Become a nurse in Finland
Bachelor's programme in Nursing
This bilingual degree programme in Nursing is aimed at immigrants. The goal is that by the time of graduation, you will be able to work in health care services in Finland using the Finnish language.
Supplementing nursing degrees completed abroad
If you have completed your nursing education outside the EU and EEA countries, you can supplement your training and obtain the right to work as a nurse in Finland.

Supplementary pedagogical studies
If you have completed a teacher education programme abroad, you can complete supplementary pedagogical studies at our School of Professional Teacher Education. Please note that your level of Finnish language has to be at least B2 to get admitted to the supplementary studies.

Finnish language studies
Test your Finnish language skills with a language test and learn about the language proficiency requirements in higher education. You will also find information on Finnish language courses and opportunities for independent study of Finnish.

Information and support
We offer SIMHE (Supporting Immigrants in Higher Education in Finland) Services, which include higher education guidance, counselling and support for immigrants living in Finland.
