Tampere University receives the EC’s HR Excellence in Research label

Tampere University has been awarded the HR Excellence in Research label by the European Commission for its work in improving researchers’ working conditions, career advancement and recruitment practices.
Both predecessors of Tampere University – the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology – earned this label. The new University applied for the quality label through a new process.
Tampere University submitted its Action Plan to the Commission in January 2020. Under the label, work is being carried out in the framework of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) project, which is based on the values of the European Charter for Researchers. The goal is to continuously improve performance through evaluations.
