On 24 February, it has been two years since the start of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. We will then show our support for Ukraine by illuminating the façade of the Päätalo building in blue-yellow colour.

The light art called Universitas created by artist Charles Sandison is reflected on the façade of Päätalo on Tampere University’s city centre campus. The light art will be changed to the blue-yellow colour of the Ukrainian flag as a sign of sympathy and support at 18.00–23.00 on 24 February.

In Tampere, also the Näsinneula observation tower, Tammerkoski rapids, Tampere Hall, Finlayson, Original Sokos Hotel Ilves, and Kaleva Church will be illuminated with the colours of the Ukrainian flag as well.
