Research Council of Finland awards funding for 19 new Academy Research Fellows and Academy Projects in social sciences and humanities

The Research Council of Finland’s Scientific Council for Social Sciences and Humanities has awarded grants to five new Academy Research Fellowships and fourteen Academy Projects at Tampere University. Researchers at Tampere University received a total of €10.1 million in research funding.

The Research Council of Finland’s Scientific Council for Social Sciences and Humanities selected 35 researchers to receive an Academy Research Fellowship and 48 projects to get Academy Project Funding. The new Academy Projects are composed of 71 subprojects.

The total funding is around €23 million for Academy Research Fellowships and around €36 million for Academy Projects. The funding period in the Academy Research Fellowship and Academy Project funding schemes is four years. 

In this round, the applicant success rate was around 10% in Academy Research Fellowships and 12% in Academy Projects.
