TUNI Sign - digital signature service

TUNI Sign is a digital signature service employed since 2020 by Tampere university community for electronic signing of documents. It is used as the principal signature tool of the university community that constitutes of Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences.

Electronic signature is a juridically binding way to sign agreements and documents. As an advanced electronic signature complying with the legislation (EU 910/2014, 26th article and Finland 2009/617 VahvL), TUNI Sign electrically secures the identity of the signatory, and the information which individualises the person is attached to the document so that one cannot later change it unnoticed.

When you receive an e-mail from the Tampere university community with a signature request

  1. Open the email message you received, click “Open Request”, and sign in to the TUNI Sign service using the login ID provided in the email. Then click “Next.”
  2. Authenticate using an SMS code. The system will redirect you to the authentication service.
  3. Confirm the request with the PIN code sent to your phone.
  4. Check your information in the view that opens and, if everything is correct, click “Next.”
  5. Review the contents of the document in the preview view.
  6. If the content is correct, approve the document by clicking the “Sign” button.
  7. Signing requires identity verification. Authenticate by requesting a PIN code via the “SMS” button. The PIN code will be sent to your phone.
  8. Enter the PIN code in the designated field. After that, you will be able to sign the document.
  9. You can sign the document.
