Assessment of a licentiate thesis
The examiners issue written statements on the licentiate thesis with a suggestion on the grade mainly within two months of submitting the thesis for examination. The Faculty Council or the Dean delegated by it decides on the approval and grade of a licentiate thesis. The grade is either “approved” or “failed”.
Before grading in a Faculty Council meeting, the author is reserved the opportunity to provide a rejoinder on the examiners’ statements.
Faculty Councils have confirmed the assessment criteria.
After the licentiate thesis has been graded and you have completed all the studies in the degree, fill in the certificate application form and deliver it to your faculty according to the faculty’s instructions.
