Accept your study place
All students must accept the offered study place and the possible Tampere University scholarship online by the given deadline using the unique link sent automatically from the Studyinfo service (sent to the e-mail address given on the application form). If for some reason you are unable to accept the study place online, please contact the Admissions Office at email@example.com for further instructions. If you do not accept the study place by the given deadline, you will forfeit your place in the programme.
If you have been awarded a Tampere University scholarship during the admission process or if you wish to take advantage of the early bird scholarship, the deadline to accept the study place is earlier than mentioned below. Please check the deadline in the scholarship letter which you have received in the acceptance email. Please read the terms and conditions of the scholarship carefully. The final deadline to accept the study place in our Bachelor's programmes and Master's programmes is 17 July 2020 at 3 pm (GMT +3) (initial deadline has been postponed from 10 to 17 July).
Additional information for new Master’s degree students
If you have applied on the final year of your Bachelor’s degree and been accepted conditionally, you need to send the officially certified copies of the Bachelor's degree certificate and final transcript of records (and their translations if needed) to Admissions Office by post (according to the country-specific requirements, if applicable). Please do this as soon as you graduate, as the documents must arrive by latest on 15 September (deadline extended from 14 August 2020). Please note that registration is possible only after you have delivered the documents.
If you are a non-fee paying student who have applied with a Bachelor’s degree completed in Finland, you can also register as a student online in studyinfo.fi (My Studyinfo -service) with the help of Finnish e-identification service.
If you applied with a degree completed outside Finland or are a fee-paying student, you will register as student as instructed here. Registration is possible 10 August onwards.
Additional information for new Bachelor’s degree students
Selected students must deliver copies of educational documents to Admissions Office by post. You must deliver copies of educational documents by post, by 15 July 2020 15.00 GMT +3. If you do not submit the required educational documents to Tampere University, your conditional admission will expire. These copies of the certificate of upper secondary education /secondary school leaving certificate, the transcript of records and their translations into English must be certified by a notary public, the Finnish Embassy/Consulate in your home country or the institution that issued the original document with an institutional stamp on the documents. Please send the copies as soon as possible.
Students who applied during their last semester of IB, EB or RP/DIA education need to post a copy of the final diploma.
As an exception, students who have taken the Finnish Matriculation Examination do not need to deliver copies by post as these have been verified electronically.
As an exception, if you applied during the final year of any other comparable upper secondary educational qualification which provides eligibility for University-level Bachelor’s studies in the country in question, you need to graduate by August and deliver the educational documents by 14 September 2020. (deadline extended from 31 July and 14 August 2020). Please note that registration is possible only after you have delivered the documents.
