About me

Researcher of higher education and teaching and learning in higher education. Research experience also from the professional growth of teachers, study counselors and academic leaders and from the meaning of collegiality for professional communities. Adjunct professor (docent) in University of Helsinki (teaching and learning in higher education) as well as in University of Jyväskylä (education, especially guidance and counselling in higher education).

Responsibilities

Higher Education in Transition (HET) research group leader (https://research.tuni.fi/het/) together with Johanna Annala. I have worked in several research and development projects as a research director. Most recently in the international eTraining FinPal project at 2017-2020. In the project, we implemented a university pedagogical trainging program for the Palestinian Territories as distance and online education.

Teaching and supervision of intermediate and advanced studies in faculty and in doctoral education. Supervision of Master's theses and dissertation research.

Main positions of trust

Member of the Editorial Board in University Pedagogy journal. As a representative of Tampere University in the international higher education UNIMED sub-network of "eLearning and Open Educational Resources" (https://www.uni-med.net/en/subnetwork-elearning-and-open-education/)
