URBAN PROSUMERS project
URBAN PROSUMERS – towards a knowledge transfer hub for empowering citizens as producers and consumers of sustainable solutions to climate-neutrality
By leveraging citizen science and participatory research methods, the URBAN PROSUMERS project actively involves Tampere residents and local stakeholders in developing sustainable solutions focused on mobility, food systems and energy. Through a co-creation process guided by HEIs, the project brings together the city, residents, and various actors to identify local needs related to the EU Mission themes. The project funds community experiments that seek social or technological innovations, addressing the needs identified by residents and local entities such as NGOs, associations and city administration.
The project is implemented 1.10.2025–31.3.2028.
This project has been funded from European Union’s Horizon Mission research and innovation programme under the grant agreement No 101216923.

FUSILLI project
Fostering the Urban Food System Transformation through Innovative Living Labs Implementation (FUSILLI)
With urbanisation and rapid population growth, global food demand is expected to double by 2050. Most of all food produced is consumed in cities, so their food systems need to be made more efficient and sustainable.
FUSILLI, a joint European project, supported participating cities and urban areas in the global challenges of food systems. Innovation and experimentation were at the heart of the project.
The active time of the project was 1.8.2020−31.12.2024.
This project has been funded from European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the grant agreement No 101000717.
