REAVES – Resilient Ecosystems for AV&M Entrepreneurial Support

Tampere University of Applied Sciences
Duration of project1.7.2025–31.12.2027

REAVES project platform drives the way for a coherent cross-sectoral support strategy for the film, gaming, and music industries in the Baltic Sea region, helping authorities, education, and industry actors retain young talent and keep the cultural and creative industries resilient and thriving. REAVES consolidates outcomes from 22 EU projects.

Background

The "Creative and Cultural Industry" (CCI) often implies a unified sector, yet its sub-sectors vary significantly. For example, cultural heritage institutions like opera houses vastly differ from commercially focused entities such as popular music bands. These distinctions create silos, with industry players working in isolation on similar challenges. REAVES unites projects from the film, music, and gaming industries to support emerging creative talent leveraging technology in their work. These individuals, often driving or founding commercially-oriented ventures, are key to fostering innovation within resilient regional ecosystems, ultimately enabling their industries to thrive locally and globally.

Goal

The REAVES platform emphasizes collaboration, addressing shared challenges while overcoming regional and sectoral silos. By aligning objectives and pooling resources, participating projects streamline their solutions and enhance support from public authorities.

Impact

Creating a robust ecosystem focused on talent retention and innovation through cross-regional and cross-sectoral efforts, ensuring a sustainable future for the CCI.
