The MULTIGINATION TAMK project is a Business Finland-funded Co-Research project and part of the DUT-funded international project Multiplicative Imagination of Citizens and Stakeholders towards the 15-Minute City. The project focuses on developing the 15-minute city concept and sustainable development solutions. The three-year project involves the Finnish partners Lehtovuori Oy, Lentola Logistics Oy, and Pirkanmaan Jätehuolto Oy.

Goal

The MULTIGINATION project seeks to address, among others, the following research needs:

How can different stakeholders be engaged in urban transformation processes to provide a realistic market perspective, or effective demand, for services and activities, particularly those that require a minimum number of users to be economically viable?
How can bottom-up initiatives be channelled into decision-making processes where funding plays a key role, cities have a crucial role, and the private sector can also be involved?

In relation to these themes, TAMK, in cooperation with relevant Finnish stakeholders, will investigate:

the suitability, functionality and commercial potential of marketplace platform features for businesses operating in different sectors;
company profiles and potential companies whose products and services could be suitable for the marketplace;
the modification requirements for adapting product and service offerings to the marketplace, using national Living Lab experiments and pilots.
