The project is developing a digital platform (ECHOES platform) that facilitates the exchange of expertise and experts between health and social care training universities in Europe. The platform allows social and health care professionals, teachers, and researchers to register their expertise on the platform, and
higher education institutions can find the expertise and experts they need with the help of the platform. The platform also has a video conferencing tool that can be used to exchange expertise.
Background
Expertise in the social and health care sector is scattered across many locations, and knowledge is fragmented into narrower areas of expertise. There are also areas and locations where expertise in all themes of the field is not available. For this reason, many graduates have limited access to certain specialized topics for which expertise and skills are available elsewhere. The ECHOES platform improves access to expert knowledge for many students and graduates, which increases the competence of these graduates and improves the social and health care sector in all European countries. In addition, opportunities for experts to exchange ideas and connect with different cultures will develop the intercultural skills of students and teachers.
Goal
ECHOES aims to facilitate the exchange of European expertise and professionals between social and health care professionals and higher education institutions. The project will build the ECHOES platform, which can be used for networking, searching for the necessary experts and expertise, conducting negotiations, and organizing webinars.
Impact
The Echoes project and the ECHOES platform aim to increase the exchange of healthcare expertise in Europe.
The platform will be disseminated and opened up to experts and universities around the world. This will give us a global
network of experts that is just a click away. The project also investigates the skills gaps that exist between education and practice in the field. Identifying these gaps will help to develop education in the field.
