Digital expert exchange to reduce health sector skills gaps in Europe.
Goal
ECHOES (ExChange Of ExpertiSe) is an Erasmus+ KA220-HED project addressing skills gaps in the health sector across Europe by developing a digital expert exchange platform. The project connects higher education institutions and health professionals from different countries, enabling flexible, sustainable and cost-efficient collaboration in teaching and research.
The ECHOES platform functions as both an expert database and a collaboration environment. Experts can describe their competences, upload their CVs and link their professional profiles. Higher education institutions can search for suitable expertise for guest lectures, co-teaching, webinars, and research and innovation cooperation. An AI-assisted matching function supports the identification of relevant expertise and partnership opportunities.
The project develops and pilots six Online Actions designed to support user engagement, articulation of expertise, and the initiation of collaboration. These actions include instructional videos, webinars and live matchmaking events.
The long-term objective is to establish a sustainable European expert network that enhances the quality of education, improves access to specialised knowledge, and strengthens international cooperation beyond the project lifetime.
