The DigiScope3 INVEST -project focuses on making procurements that support developing new abilities for the SME sector for environmentally friendly reporting in the Scope3 type. This is necessary as the traceability requirements tighten, e.g. through legislation. In the project, TAMK develops ways to reliably calculate CO2 emissions during the manufacturing process, and JAMK develops sustainable procurement processes that equally utilize digitalization. However, DigiScope3 goes beyond regulations and aims to find out how better traceability and measurement of carbon footprints or even carbon handprints could help companies create new business models based on the data economy and new innovation.
