Studio-based recording environment, digital audio workstation songwriting tools such as MIDI, sampling and basic understanding of melody and arrangement are covered.

The course introduces the studio-based recording environment as well as digital audio workstation (DAW) as a songwriting tool. The students is able to: Identify differences between studio microphones Understand studio signal flow. Use studio hardware, DAW and MIDI Develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills that are a must to work in the modern music production studio.
