About the Project
BOOST (Boosting the Performance of Bio-Based Functional Nonwovens) aims to develop scalable, industrially relevant solutions for the growing market of sustainable nonwovens. The project brings together research organisations and industry partners to advance plastic-free, bio-based, and recycled fibre solutions through research, material development, piloting, and value-chain collaboration. BOOST focuses on technologies such as air-laid, carding, and foam forming, supporting the transition towards more sustainable material systems and creating new opportunities for Finnish and European industry.
