Joint and double degree programmes at Tampere University
In our joint and double degree programmes, you would study in a programme that is planned, implemented and offered in collaboration with Tampere University and our international partner institutions. If you complete a joint programme, you will earn a degree and a degree certificate given jointly by the partner universities. In a double degree programme, you will receive a degree and degree certificate from two partner universities.
If you are admitted to a joint or double degree programme at Tampere University, you will complete courses at one or more partner institutions in addition to courses taken at Tampere University. These courses will count towards your degree as outlined in your programme's curriculum and the agreement signed by the partner institutions. Typically, you will spend one or two semesters in Tampere, and the rest at the partner institution(s).
Most of the joint degree programmes at Tampere University are double degree programmes. Some of these are exclusively available only for students nominated by specific partner institutions.
Erasmus Mundus programmes
Tampere University is also part of consortia offering Erasmus Mundus programmes. International consortia apply for the Erasmus Mundus status from the European Council. Erasmus Mundus programmes are prestigious international master’s programmes, jointly designed and delivered by at least 3 institutions from at least 3 different countries. Erasmus Mundus programmes have full scholarships are available for the best students.
Double and joint degrees open to all applicants
These programmes are available for application to any eligible applicant and you can apply for admission directly to the double degree programme. The application process follows programme-specific procedures. Please see the programme information below for more information on eligibility and admission requirements!
Double and joint degrees only for students nominated by specific partner institutions
