Ultrafast realtime control for additive manufacturing

Tampere University of Applied Sciences
Duration of project1.6.2021–28.2.2022

The measures of the project provide a comprehensive picture of the needs of companies and the possibilities of utilising the suggested solution.

Goal

The project will implement a survey identifying needs of companies and opportunities for international business growth in order to exploit new market potential. We examine the requirements of sensors, control components, telecommunication software and operating environment required for real-time control, especially taking into account the requirements of the international operating environment.

As a development and pilot application, the project will use additive manufacturing (AM), for example use of a high-speed camera for 3D printing of large objects in wireless motion control and the problems posed by this use and their classification. Project will organise ideation and feasibility workshops for companies and finally, the project draws up a plan for the Co-Innovation project together with the companies participating in the follow-up project (Co-Innovation).
