TreWISE

TreWISE is part of the multi-disciplinary Research Consortium of WISE, funded by the Strategic Research Council of Academy of Finland.

WISE aims to improve decision making over wicked socio-environmental disruptions. We aim to build up resilience and adaptation to disruptions that involve climate-induced migration, energy crisis and political instability, among other things.

We are developing and testing a new national-level integrative policy mechanism, Policy Operations Room (POR), in which participants mimic how they would decide in a real-life disruption and researchers can learn from the decisions. POR can be developed from a test bed into a permanent policy mechanism for integrating rapid and comprehensive science advice to the most complex policy challenges.
