RESPA - Recyclable Soft Packing Materials

Tampere University of Applied Sciences
Duration of project1.1.2019–30.6.2019

The aim of the project is to create new value chains for the production of insulating thin materials. The value chain is not yet ready, but is being created during the Co-Innovation project. The majority of the value chain operates in Finland. This is not possible without a new type of cooperation network.

Goal

The aim of the project is to create new value chains for the production of insulating thin materials. The new product can replace existing products based on oil-based raw materials such as packinging, parcels and envelope filling or cushioning, construction work for footstep sound insulation, insulating flower bags, food wraps for heat or cold storage, etc. The new product is based on bio-based and recyclable solutions that provide a Finnish alternative for the aforementioned applications. The value chain is not yet ready, but is being created during the
Co-Innovation project. The majority of the value chain operates in Finland. This is not possible without a new type of cooperation network. The main actors in the value chains include material manufacturers, converters, and product sellers.
