Monitoring the population effectiveness and safety of pneumococcal conjugate vaccination in the Finnish national vaccination programme

Indirect impact of routine infant conjugate vaccination on adult pneumococcal disease and implications for adult vaccination policy

Ongoing, population-based cohort studies using linkage of comprehensive National health registries (the National Infectious Disease Registry, National Hospital Discharge Registry, Social Security Institute, and Statistics Finland) to evaluate the impact of vaccination program on various pneumococcal disease-related outcomes (including invasive disease, pneumonia admissions). Research collaboration with the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), Department of Infectious Disease Surveillance and Control and Department of Vaccines, Helsinki.
