The vehicle simulator comprises a driving simulator equipped with a wheel, pedals, seat, and screens, along with the possibility of VR. Its primary objective is to test drivers’ reactions to autonomous driving in various scenarios and identify situations where they prefer to take control of the wheel. A Windows-based simulator environment has been developed and tested using the open-source CARLA software, but other programs and simulators can also be utilized.
