AI-SIM project investigates AI (specifically Natural Language Processing, NLP) based solutions and methods with the aim to renew networked business with supplier information management (SIM). Only limited research exists on using AI in this area and wide business potential is expected. Project concentrates specifically on the solutions and business models for utilization of AI. The data used may be related to many different areas of business such as product management, innovations, human resources and performance management. The main emphasis is in the better use of qualitative data with the help of AI.
The project consortium is build upon an intensive collaboration between Tampere University (Industrial Engineering and Management), Turku University (TurkuNLP research group) and three companies Agco-Power, Sievo and Integrata. Also a wider network of companies is involved to support research and to provide case contexts for testing during the project. Project is funded by Business Finland co-innovation and its schedule is 1.1.2024 – 30.6.2026. Project director is Aki Jääskeläinen.
