Now that the Higgs Boson has been found, CERN has started preparations according to the European Strategy of Particle Physics to construct successor for LHC. This, at least, 20 year long process has started by forming the research consortium in networking projects. Now, the first research project related to so called FCC accelerator is starting. This project is for developing modelling tools for high temperature superconducting magnet option of FCC.
Goal
This project builds a bridge between basic and applied science in engineering. The field of application is the development work of the world's largest research instrument - the successor of LHC.
