About me
Parinaz Poursafa is Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Tampere Institute for Advanced Study (Tampere IAS) for the period 2025–2027. She is a highly cited postdoctoral researcher in field of environmental health sciences and environmental life-course epidemiology at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology. She holds two PhD (first, from Isfahan university of Medical sciences and Second from Groningen University).
Her research examines how environmental exposures shape health across the life course, from human biomonitoring, air pollution and chemicals studies in children to population-based research on biological aging as a pathway linking environmental exposures to chronic disease and mortality. I use large population cohorts, to investigate how early-life and cumulative environmental exposures influence long-term health trajectories.
Her research builds on exposome and life course approaches, with the long-term goal of advancing precision environmental health.
