Muhammad Toseef

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Tampere Institute for Advanced Study, based at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology. I develop deep learning methods for clinical risk prediction from electronic health records, and my IAS project focuses on multimodal models for early diabetes risk prediction. I am particularly interested in models that are well calibrated and stay reliable across patient subgroups and different datasets. I completed my PhD at City University of Hong Kong in 2025, which included a visiting research period at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
