Igor Tanskanen

I work as a specialist in the International Mobility Services. I am responsible for the administration and development of both incoming and outgoing student exchange, ensuring smooth exchange study processes and high-quality academic and international learning experiences. My work supports the goals of Tampere University’s international strategy and contributes to students’ degree studies.
I maintain and develop bilateral university-level agreements with higher education institutions in Australia, North America, Africa and Europe. My responsibilities also include Erasmus+ university-level agreements, such as Brunel University of London and Universität Leipzig. In addition, I coordinate international exchange programmes such as ISEP and north2north, and act as the contact person for Circumpolar Studies and UArctic, supporting Tampere University’s global academic networks. I am responsible for coordinating all processes related to incoming exchange students. This includes developing the student guide, the Moodle environment and online content, as well as planning and delivering the Welcome Week. My aim is to create a smooth, informative and supportive start for all incoming exchange students and to promote effective international cooperation.
