Betul Aktas

I’m a doctoral researcher in the Coatings Technologies Research Group, working on multilayered thermal-sprayed coatings to protect concrete structures in offshore environments. I’m involved in producing, characterizing, functionalizing, and testing coatings that focus on icephobicity and corrosion resistance, using both custom and standard test setups to evaluate their performance in harsh conditions.
